Chris Middlebrook on Blasé
Chris has been filming and documenting skate parts and videos for 3 decades now, starting out in Frankston shooting for Blank Clothing, to working with Nike SB and Alien Workshop. Chris would also find himself coaching the Australian Olympic skateboarding team at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, and film various music videos.
Chris has a new book launching called PAUSE, which showcases all that he has documented over the last 30 years, the book launches at Hillvale Gallery November 28th. In this chat Chris speaks on the creation of PAUSE, going through years of archival videos and stills, how he found his way into filming skate parts, leaving his day job, and more.

Mount Isa Skate Park looks like such a solid spot! The mix of rails, hips, spines, and banks really makes it a place where both beginners and experienced skaters can have fun. It’s always awesome to see communities keeping skate culture alive with well-designed parks like this. As someone who also enjoys collecting fingerboard decks , I can definitely appreciate how these real-life setups inspire creativity both on and off the board.

It's destroyed.. presumably in a big storm as the quarter has literally broken off and washed downstream. It would be nice to remake it
