Taupo Skate Park

This is possibly the sickest park in the upper North Island, with about 1/5th park as street, the rest as bowl Been around for a couple years now, the steel coping has seen no damage and is in great condition, and only a couple parts of the concrete are damaged slightly. PIcs thanks Sean write thanks to Kerian An open ended 8 foot bowl with a spine that leads into a similar 6 footer is the highlight, but the speedline possibilities are endless with so many oportunities to use the whole park in a run. Smaller than a rugby field(???) but squarer than that stupid game aussies play, the only downfall is the amount of bikers that 'ride' here, and all the kids who do the 3 flyout lines and skate the bowls like minis.wankers.
at the end of Spa road, about 5-7 minutes drive from the Subway(TM) in town and 1 minute from the Taupo Bungy, with a water fountain and a takeaway/bakery down the road. If you cant find it, just ask at the information center at the northen end of town.
